Compliance and Quality Resources

The NMRE’s Compliance Program operates in accordance with the guidelines established by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

This program helps the NMRE and its partners carry out operations ethically and with a high level of integrity. The NMRE’s compliance program provides:

  • Written policies, procedures, and a Standards of Conduct
  • Compliance oversight
  • Education and training
  • Lines of communication
  • Enforcement of standards through well-publicized disciplinary guidelines
  • Implementation of risk assessments, internal monitoring, and auditing activities
  • Enforcement of prompt responses to detected offenses and developing corrective actions

The compliance program is for:

  • The protection of all health information
  • The prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Enforcement of federal, state regulations and contractual obligations
  • Collaboration with other NMRE partners
